I was immediately struck by the bustling energy of the place, as people of all ages bustled to and fro, going about their day.
I strolled through the street vendors and shops, taking in the sights and sounds of the city. I tried some delicious street food, like pad Thai and mango sticky rice, and browsed the stalls for souvenirs. In the evening, I visited a local market, where I was able to see the city come to life at night, with bright lights, music, and vendors selling all sorts of goods.
Day 2: Wat Phra Kaew and the Grand Palace
The next day, I visited Wat Phra Kaew and the Grand Palace, two of Bangkok’s most famous landmarks. Wat Phra Kaew is the temple of the Emerald Buddha, one of Thailand’s most important Buddhist artifacts, and the Grand Palace is the former residence of the Thai king.
