Eswatini, also known as Swaziland, is a small landlocked country in Southern Africa. It is bordered by South Africa to the west, Mozambique to the east, and is located between the provinces of Mpumalanga and KwaZulu-Natal. The country gained independence from the United Kingdom in 1968 and is a monarchy ruled by King Mswati III. The official language is English and siSwati, the culture of the Swazi people is the main influence on the country’s customs and traditions.

Eswatini is known for its diverse wildlife, including the big five game animals (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros), as well as a variety of bird species. The country has several nature reserves and parks, such as the Hlane Royal National Park and the Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary, that offer visitors the opportunity to see wildlife and enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and bird watching.

Eswatini is also known for its traditional culture, including dances and ceremonies that are still performed today. The annual Umhlanga ( Reed Dance) ceremony, where thousands of young women gather to pay homage to the Queen Mother, is a major tourist attraction.

However,Eswatini is still a poor country with a high rate of HIV/AIDS, and many of the population live in poverty. It remains a country with a lot of political and economic challenges.
