Mali

Mali is a landlocked country located in West Africa, bordered by Algeria to the northeast, Niger to the east, Burkina Faso and Côte d’Ivoire to the south, Guinea to the south-west, and Senegal and Mauritania to the west. The official language is French and the currency is the West African CFA franc. The population of Mali is approximately 19.5 million people. Mali is a culturally diverse country, with the majority of the population made up of the Bambara, Dogon, and Fulani peoples. The economy of Mali is primarily based on agriculture, with the main crops being cotton, rice, millet, corn, peanuts, and livestock. The country is also rich in mineral resources, such as gold, bauxite, and phosphates. Mali is known for its historical sites, such as the ancient city of Timbuktu, and for its traditional music, which has gained international recognition.
